DRY MORTARS

Refractory mortars produced by Westmoreland Advanced Materials, Inc. are available only in dry formulations and are typically supplied in bags but can also be supplied in plastic pails ready to mix with water. These are premium mortars based on the latest surfactant and bonding matrix technology.

There are two families of products. One is the Heat Set mortar series and the other is the Air Set mortar series. Both families are alumina based. In the heat set family Westmoreland Advanced Materials, Inc. manufactures a silicon carbide based mortar product designated with the SiC prefix.
